My little star

We went to Aalst last Monday (28 July) to watch the "After Tour de France criterium". The first in 32 years they said. Tour de France winner, Carlos Sastre from Spain will be riding along with UK's Mark Cavendish who was said to be the fastest man in Tour 2008 and the Belgian Gert Steegmans who won the Paris - Champs-Elysees stage of the tour. There were other famous cyclists in the event but we were there mostly to see this year's winner since we couldn't go to France like we did 2 years ago to watch a few stages of the Tour.

There were more or less 70 thousand people in Aalst that day. Bars and Restaurants were open till midnight. The pro category started at 30 mins. after 7 and finished at almost midnight with the expected winner Carlos Sastre. Although I wasn't able to take a picture of Sastre and Cavendish after the race because they went straight to their hotel, I was still able to take a picture of Steegmans together with my little Raidon who believe me stayed up so late just to have that picture taken. He actually likes the attention. After the picture was taken he fell asleep and didn't woke up until 9 in the morning the next day.
